Founder, Project Manager & Software Engineer

Founder of Ambitious Birds with a background spanning programming, VFX, and game development. Gabe steers the studio's direction, manages the team, and stays hands-on across development — with years of experience teaching game development and a President's List academic record.

Liam McElwain LM

Liam McElwain

Software Engineer & Game Developer

Software engineer with deep roots in game development and VR. Liam has professional experience shipping VR games, building AI systems for real-world business applications, and developing tools for neuroscience research — a rare mix of creative and technical range.

Alannis Davis AD

Alannis Davis

AI Engineer & Game Developer

Game developer and researcher pursuing a Masters in Computer Science, with a focus on serious games and emerging technology. Alannis brings both engineering depth and academic rigour to the team — a two-time Teaching Assistant Excellence Award winner and 2025 Brilliant Incubator champion.

Nicholas Ye

Principal 3D Artist

3D and 2D artist with professional experience across environment art, character modelling, animation, and UI — including shipped VR titles. Nicholas brings technical precision to visual work, consistently pushing quality while hitting the tight performance constraints of real-time platforms.

Sebastian Finkbeiner SF

Sebastian Finkbeiner

Artist & Sound Designer

Multi-disciplinary creative spanning original music, sound design, 2D art, 3D modelling, and VFX. Seb graduated with Dean's Honours and was nominated to represent Ontario Tech at a Canada-wide game development conference — a creative Swiss army knife who raises the bar on every project he touches.

Skyler Hedgepeth

Media, Marketing & QA

Brand designer and media specialist with a BA in Media Communication Studies and hands-on experience in visual content creation, graphic design, and event production. Skyler shapes how the studio looks and communicates — keeping both the output and the quality consistently sharp.
